Building homes for the poor- Appeal
Narrated from Hazrat Abu Hurairah: He said that the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “One who lends effort to the widows and the poor is like one who is busy in the way of Allah, or one who regularly prays at night and fasts during the day.” Source: Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī 5038, Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim 2982
Abu Musa narrated that the Prophet (s.a.w.s.) said, “Every Muslim has to give in sadaqah (charity).” The people asked, “O Allah’s Messenger (s.a.w.s.)! If someone has nothing to give, what will he do?” He said, “He should work with his hands and benefit himself and also give in charity (from what he earns).” The people further asked, “If he cannot do even that?” He replied, “Then he should help the needy who appeal for help.” Then the people asked, “If he cannot do that?” He replied, “Then he should perform all that is good and keep away from all that is evil and this will be regarded as charitable deeds.” (Bukhari Vol. 2, Hadith 524)
We ReduceSin extended our hand to build homes for the homeless. For Sister Shundori, she is a widow and residing in a village named Bareali at Chougacha in Jessore. She lost her husband six years ago in 2014. She has no son and has two daughters. She has just a piece of land. She was living by doing household jobs for others. She also runs her life by sewing blankets and doing some handicrafts, etc. Due to the COVID pandemic she even lost her sewing job. She was in badly need of a house to build where she can live with her two daughters safely. Due to her financial condition, it was impossible for her. She was passing her days with her two daughters in a totally insecure shelter. We understand the need to help her to construct a house. So we finally were able to set up a tin-shaded home for sister Shundori in 2020.
Please come forward to help build homes for the helpless landless men and women. We appeal for your help in this. Your donation matters to give someone a home with safety and security.
