Sadaqah Appeal
Sadaqah Jariyah is the act of giving in charity that is continuous. From providing sustainable water solutions, that gives people clean water day after day, to sending a child to school to change their future, to supporting an orphan with regular sponsorship, giving Sadaqah Jariyah is a beautiful commitment.
Sadaqatul Jariyah is ongoing charity (continuous rewards) received by us (for good actions and deeds), that will not only benefit us in this life, but will continue to benefit us in our afterlife.
According to the Sahih Muslim, The Messenger of Allah, (PBUH), said, “Whoever relieves the hardship of a believer in this world, Allah will relieve his hardship on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever helps ease one in difficulty, Allah will make it easy for him in this world and in the Hereafter…”
Sadaqah is any act of kindness given without the expectation of anything in return; Sadaqah Jariyah is a long-term kindness, a gesture that continues to give after you have gone.
According to the Sahih Muslim, the Prophet Mohammed said: “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except, for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah [ceaseless charity], knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him [the deceased].”
